Caitlyn has taught and performed internationally, accompanied by musicians ranging from Middle Eastern bands Mazaj and Brothers of the Baladi to rapper Fat Joe. She has bellydanced on American television and a Kasabian music video, been interviewed by the BBC, and appeared on the covers of both the Oxford Times and the Oxford Mail. She has performed at hundreds of venues, including the Dorchester Hotel, the Park Lane Hilton, Truck Music Festival, Queen of Clubs Cabaret, Oxford University and Whitehall Palace. She is an elegant and versatile artist, equally comfortable dancing solo or in a company, for an intimate audience or a banquet hall of hundreds.
Caitlyn is from a family of dancers and circus performers and has studied with some of the top dancers and instructors of Egypt, Turkey, Germany, America, and the U.K., and has taken classes in ballet, modern dance, Argentine tango, salsa,
hip-hop, flamenco and Roman (Gypsy) dance. She has also completed academic
courses in 20th Century Dance and in Costume History and Design and has lectured on how national and interational politics have shaped dance in the Middle East.
